What Are Important Parts of Preventive Maintenance?

Are you scheduling your vehicle’s routine maintenance appointments?

Just like we try to do with our health, taking steps to Prevent Car Problems before they happen is an often-overlooked step! There may be some initial investment of time and money to Maintain Your Car, but the investment is usually worth it to Prevent Costly Repairs in the future.

Here are a few routine items to maintain in your Vehicle. Every couple of months, check to make sure that your Tires are properly inflated. You should check your Tires more often if you drive a lot, or if you drive through extreme temperature changes. Oil and other fluids (Automatic Transmission, Power Steering Fluid, Windshield Wiper Fluid) should be checked or changed per your Vehicle’s Maintenance Schedule. You should also have someone check to make sure your Hoses and Battery Cables look intact at least once a year, especially before going into any extreme weather. And, of course, if any unusual lights come on the dash, such as the Check Engine Light, please get that checked out as soon as you can!

At Daltons Midway, we love to help our customers prevent future problems so that your Vehicle is always reliable! For your Preventive Maintenance needs, give us a call at 360-688-7111, or stop by 16326 State Route 9 (at 164th) in Clearview anytime.
